Invitation for Applications under the Direct Admission of Students Abroad Scheme
The Indian Maritime University, a central University under the Government of India, is pleased to invite applications for the following programs under the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin/Non-Resident Indians/Overseas Citizens of India.
DASA UG, or Direct Admission of Students Abroad for Undergraduate Courses, is a special scheme allowing NRI/PIO/OCI/Foreign national students admission under the 15% reserved quota in NITs, IIITs, and other technical institutes. Admissions are based on JEE Main ranks.

I. Bachelor of Technology (Marine Engineering) - 30 seats II. Bachelor of Science (Nautical Science) - 30 seats III. Bachelor of Technology (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) - 05 seats IV. Master of Technology (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) - 02 seats V. Master of Technology (Dredging & Harbour Engineering) - 02 seats VI. Registration and Application Form (DASA UG 2024):
- Registration opens after the JEE Mains 2024 April session.
- Apply online on the DASA NIT website.
How to Apply for DASA UG 2024:
- Visit the DASA NIT website, click "Enter" under "Application for UG Programme."
- Register, complete the process via the link emailed to you, and create an account.
- Proceed with login, read instructions, and fill the online application form.
DASA UG 2024 Admission Schedule:
- The schedule will be released in April-May 2024.
- Refer to the 2023 schedule by NIT Calicut for insights.
Eligibility Criteria for DASA 2024:
- Born on or after October 01, 1999.
- Valid JEE Main 2024 rank.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination.
- Applicants appearing for the 2023-24 academic year may also apply.
- Successful completion of required subjects in 11th and/or 12th.
Total Seats in DASA Scheme (2023):
- DASA seats: 3459
- CIWG seats: 1147
- Other DASA applicants: 2312
DASA Fee Structure (Registration Fee and First Semester Tuition Fee):
- CIWG: US $300 (Registration), INR ₹62,500 (Tuition)
- DASA (Non-SAARC): US $300 (Registration), US $4000 (Tuition)
- DASA (SAARC): US $300 (Registration), US $2000 (Tuition)

- Passport, date of birth proof, mark sheets, completion certificate, JEE Main scorecard, and more.
DASA Seat Allotment Procedure:
- Based on JEE Main ranks and applicant choices.
DASA Cut-offs (Opening and Closing Ranks - 2023):
