NUS, Stephen Riady Young Entrepreneur Scholarship 2024 Application Commencing from February 1 to March 19, 2024, applications for the Donated Scholarships for Academic Year 2024
The Stephen Riady Young Entrepreneur Scholarship is granted to outstanding individuals with entrepreneurial aspirations, requiring a demonstration of academic excellence, exemplary co-curricular records, and exceptional leadership qualities. To be considered, interested students must submit a unified scholarship application to NUS, covering both the NUS Scholarships and the Stephen Riady Young Entrepreneur Scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Singapore Citizenship
- Strong leadership qualities and potential
- Impressive co-curricular activity records
- Outstanding qualifications (Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Level, local polytechnic diploma, International Baccalaureate diploma, NUS High School diploma, or equivalent)
- Application for a full-time undergraduate degree program at NUS (excluding Dentistry, Medicine, and Music)
Scholarship Benefits:
- Tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant subsidy)
- S$6,000 annual living allowance
- S$2,000 one-time computer allowance upon enrollment
- Guaranteed 1-semester Student Exchange Programme (SEP) with NUS's overseas partner universities
- Priority for on-campus accommodation for the first two years of undergraduate studies
- Guaranteed offer of an NUS Overseas Colleges (“NOC”) internship program
- Eligibility to apply for up to S$50,000 seed funding for a business venture within six months of graduation
Terms & Conditions:
- Offered for a full-time undergraduate program at NUS, tenable for the normal candidature period
- Scholars may not concurrently hold other scholarships without prior approval
- Monitoring and renewal contingent on maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5 and good conduct
- University reserves the right to impose repayment of disbursed scholarship monies in case of premature withdrawal
Application & Shortlisting Process:
- Submit scholarship applications after submitting admission applications to NUS
- Submit one online referee report via the Referee Portal
- Assessment based on application strength and performance in selection interviews
- Shortlisted applicants notified for interviews from late-March onwards
- Outcomes communicated by late-May
- NUS reserves the right not to offer an award if there are no candidates of sufficient merit
