NYS Regents Awards for Veterans 2023
About American Legion Baseball Scholarship 2023 :
For students whose parent(s) served in the U.S. armed forces during specific national emergencies, the Regents Awards for Children of Deceased and Disabled Veterans were established.
Eligibility Requirements
Students may apply if their parent(s) served in the U.S. Armed Forces during certain times of war or a national emergency and, as a result of that service, passed away, became 40% or more disabled, went missing in action, or was taken prisoner of war. The veteran must be presently residing in New York State or have done so at the time of death. The candidate must be enrolled in an authorised undergraduate programme at a college or university in New York State.

The prize is worth $450 annually.
How to Apply NYS Regents Awards 2023
Complete the web supplement for the Children of Veterans Award. Make sure to print the Web Supplement Confirmation, sign it, and send it in with the necessary paperwork as directed.
Once your eligibility has been confirmed, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a Scholarship & Grant Payment Application, an application for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), and the TAP by June 30 of each academic year for which you are requesting payment. Please send an email to scholarships@hesc.ny.gov to request a copy of the Scholarship & Grant Payment Application.
