NUS Performing and Visual Arts Scholarship 2024  for Singapore Citizens

The NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to undergraduate students who have demonstrated outstanding artistic talent and potential in performing and visual arts. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a living allowance, and an allowance for arts-related expenses.

The scholarship is awarded based on the applicant's artistic achievements and potential, as well as their academic record and leadership potential. Recipients of the scholarship are expected to participate actively in NUS's arts community and contribute to the cultural life of the university.

The NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship provides an excellent opportunity for talented artists to pursue their artistic passions while receiving a world-class education at one of Asia's leading universities.


To be considered for both tiers of the NUS Scholarships, the NUS Sports Scholarship and the NUS Performing & Visual Arts Scholarship, interested students should submit a single scholarship application to NUS.

Criteria for Eligibility Singapore NUS Scholarship 2024 

here are some general eligibility criteria that applicants must meet to be considered for most NUS scholarships:

Candidates must:

  • Citizenship in Singapore
  • Possess strong leadership qualities and the potential to lead.
  • Possess a strong track record of extracurricular activities, particularly in sports. Hold a Singapore-Cambridge GCE A Level, local polytechnic diploma, International Baccalaureate diploma, NUS High School diploma, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Apply to NUS for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme. Scholarships for Dentistry and Medicine are limited.


NUS Scholarship 2024  benefits 

  • Tuition costs (after MOE Tuition Grant subsidy)
  • Annual living allowance of S$6,000
  • If the scholar is staying on campus, the annual accommodation allowance is S$4,375 (effective from AY2022/2023).
  • A one-semester Student Exchange Programme (SEP) with one of NUS's overseas partner universities is guaranteed.
  • Guaranteed offers of on-campus housing for the first two years of undergraduate studies if the Scholar submits a complete hostel admission application by the second round of application windows each year and meets NUS's eligibility criteria for NUS on-campus housing. This guarantee only applies to residence halls and student residences, not to residential colleges.
  • The scholarship has no strings attached.

Application Details 

The application period for AY2023 runs from 1 February to 19 March 2023. There is only one common application required.

Applicants for the Wee Cho Yaw Future Leaders Award must apply for both NUS Scholarships and NUS Financial Aid in their matriculation year. After submitting an admission application,

 applicants must apply for NUS scholarship Financial Aid by March 31, 2024.

The Temasek Foundation - Union Scholarship, funded by Temasek Foundation, is awarded to students, including mature ones, from lower income backgrounds exhibiting academic excellence and leadership potential. Applicants must be Singapore Citizens applying for full-time undergraduate programs at NUS. The scholarship covers $5,000 per year for the recipient and $2,000 per year for a nominated family member or guardian. It is bond-free and tenable for the normal candidature period, up to 4 years. The application and shortlisting process involves comprehensive steps, including a referee report and financial aid documentation. NUS reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if necessary.

To complete your NUS Scholarship application, you must arrange for one referee report to be submitted online. This report should be completed by your JC/Polytechnic/High School Principal or Tutor and can be submitted via the following link: https://myaces.nus.edu.sg/admissionportal/login. Your referee will receive an email with instructions on how to access the portal using your application number. The deadline for NUS submitting the Referee report is March 26, 2023.

The Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading (LKY-STEP) Award is a scholarship program aimed at promoting lifelong learning and upgrading. It is funded by the proceeds from the sales of autographed editions of Volume Two of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew's memoirs.
